Bonjour!
Up at 7.30, showered and . . . . back to the tent for a croissant & plunger coffee ! It was a tough programme to follow, day in, day out!
We travelled down countless small country roads, in our vain attempt to avoid the French toll roads - almost an impossibility - any day we avoided a toll charge was a victory for Kiwi navigation! (and of course an extra 60 kms and 2 hours than if we'd taken the highway! ;-)

Highlights for us included: Honfleur, Mont-St-Michel, St Malo, beautiful chateaux and Bordeaux wine touring (very interesting, though a little too much talk and not enough tasting! We ended up having to buy a few bottles just to get a real TASTE for the region! ;-) We also visited a pre-historic cave (with paintings apparently 15,000 years old) and an amazing village - Rocamadour, perched on the side of a cliff face.

Some things you may notice in France . . .
- Every third car on the road is a Peugeot - we definitely bought the right car! And the first sign you see when entering ANY village is the one for the Peugeot dealer!
- The French really love roundabouts - suits us - much better than traffic lights!
- Cheese is so cheap! We thought about starting a cheese importing business!
