Gruss Gott!
On the first night following our wander that day from Budapest to Vienna, we decided to take a short 360km round trip down to Graz . . . . just to see what it looked like at night! (got back to Vienna a little after 2am but it was worth it - great drive down and the city had all turned out for a jazz concert in town on a gorgeous night!)
We then stayed in the Austrian Alps near a beautiful lakeside town called Hallstatt, where it rained for four days!
So what does one do on a wet, 10-degree day in the Alps? Well of course you take a cable-car ride up into the clouds and visit an ice-cave for an hour in zero degree temperatures! (the wet camping ground didn't look quite so bad after that! ;-)
