Brent Graber, aka Mr. Smiley, has been working his wonders in borosilicate glass for many years now, and I've long been a fan of the colors he has been able to bring out in his pendants and beads (and so has my wife when gifts were bestowed). This is why I am SO excited to now be offering these same marvelous colors and fantastical glass in spherical form! Brent's marbles are vibrant, colorful, light, airy, mesmerizing and just plain FUN!! I like to call them 'Color Chasms'. Yet another marble artist who MUST be in every serious marble collection.

Brent based his vortex style marbles on his 'event horizon' pendants, the idea that you are on the edge of a black hole, an event horizon, being sucked into it along with everything else around it. The energy in and around an event horizon is fantastic, even though none of us will ever get to see and experience this up close and personal in real life. However, get one of these babies in hand, and you'll feel some of the same energy and know what we mean about getting sucked in!


It should be noted that with Brent's marbles in particular, the camera really fails to capture their true magnificence. All marbles with a lot of interior work are tough, but these marbles especially have so much going on which is picked up much better by the naked eye and some good lighting (especially in the sun). There are layers and layers of color, sparkle and fuming which just pop when in hand, and these marbles are REALLY fun to explore!!

All of Brent's marbles are signed with a smiley face as his signature, along with the year.
