Fallon Sunrise_006.jpg

Dixie Valley, NV

In order to maintain both the detail in the highlights and the lighting in the
upper clouds this is a composite shot with +3.00 EV (-1.00 and +2.00) difference between
the bright band in the middle, and the reflection and upper cloud highlights.

I tried using CS2 HDR tool to blend the two shots and got a horrible green band
so this composite was hand blended using a layer mask on the second shot.

Nice job, Bryan. I haven't had any luck with the HDR either, but often blend two versions of a raw image. Voted.

Great job Bryan, I can't wait to try the HDR thing, been reading quite a bit about it!

Superb work Bryan. There's also Photomatrixhttp://www.hdrsoft.com/ I believe it works a lot better than PS CS2's HDR tool. Voted.
