During the first days of the new year 2008, me and two birding friends (Jesper and Olof) made a quite insane trip to the area around Milano and Turin in order to twitch 4 catecory C species. We left Copenhagen Airport on Saturday 5th Jan early in the morning and came back late in the evening on Monday 7th.
The trip went well and we managed to see all the four species we were looking for: Sacred Ibis, Northern Bobwhite, Ashy-throated Parrotbill and Vinous-throated Parrotbill. I managed to get some pics of two of those species and of some other birds as well.
"As the cream on top of the mashed potato" Olof found an adult Greater Spotted Eagle at the Sacred Ibis spot!
As usual all the images are taken with mobile phone Nokia N70 through Zeiss Diascope 85.
