I have just been informed that 600 of them were slaughtered over the last few days.Many of them were females with joeys in their pouches.

People are stupid , but will they change, doubtfull ... Sorry about such news ! They are part of your continent and a mascott of it!

It's so sad to hear that... but why ? What were the reasons they give for doing that ? I simply cannot understand... but then, I can't understand the seal pup hunt here in Canada either... their reason, the furs... sold almost exclusively in Europe. I love those two roos... look at them... they are as bewildered by you as you are of them... Beautiful image Birte.
