Hi Birte

Thanks for the beautiful picture from Afghanistan, they are wonderfull in the look, and so much more in the spirit if we want to look at, yes if we want to see and life in the deeper and wider menaning, it remind me that every one is unique, no one the same in all the earth, from past present and future, so every one is unique, and that mean so much for me .

Hello, Birte

Great Photos, The reason I am writing this is because I saw your recent work in Northern Thailand, I am planning to go in June for a month and want to cover these tribes for a Local magazine here in Houston TX. I would like to here your experiences and any other logistics that are helpful to making my trip easier, I am a photographer and the trip is going to be a photojournalistic article with emphasis on indigenous tribes surving in a globalizing world.

Thanks
Jason

Great work Birte. Glad to have found you on Pbase. Good to see there are others out there promoting the beauty and fragility of what we have left to enjoy in the hope we can save it. Keep it up! (I'm envious you can shoot so many frogs)

Brite - I so admire your work and am very grateful that you led me to your new site. I love to gaze into your images for their beauty and then I become inspired by you to go into my own world to see if I can capture something. I will continue to visit and learn from you. You are first and foremost an artist but also a masterful technician in capturing the soul and grace of her world. All the best for a new and prosperous 2008!

through your photographs you have managed not only to capture "that moment" but relay a message (hopefully) about what needs to be done to help our planet, our environment and I would sure like our Prime Minister to get a look at these photographers...perhaps that would give him a jump start to sign the Kyoto agreement. Thank you for all you do via your photographs and working with saving frogs (sorry not my favourite animal), hugs, Conny

Hi Birte, You mentioned the Grass Parrot, I have to be honest until one visited my backyard I did not know what they were. The little one visited for only a few seconds once or twice a week and has slowly become more comfortable. Now I have three pairs who visit most of the time. In fact there is always one everytime I go outside. I am tryng to get them in flight as they are so pretty with their movements. They seem quite happy about my presence outside and totally ignore my dogs who are not into chasing birds, but like to sit and watch them also. Some of the discarded sunflower seeds have grown into large plants coming into flower, I notice the cockatoos are keeping an eye on the plants. So I may get a chance to photograph them also. Corralas only visit very occassionally, I think there is plenty of their food around about as they are about in big numbers but don't bother with my food supply. Looking forward to january, cheers
