Our rescued cats

We have many rescued and abandoned cats, some were about to be put down, others were dumped .They now live with us on a large property where we built a huge cattery for them, their own mini jungle full of palms and other plants.I can open the door and they don,t ever try to go out, so I think they are happy.We have quite a few so additions will be forthcoming.
A little poem for all the cats that will be abandoned especially after Christmas when the novelty wears of and people go on vacation.
FOR ALL ABANDONED CATS
I hope I am not asking too much,
All I want is a home of my own,
To know when my next meal is coming,
Instead of the scraps I get thrown,
I have been out in the cold for so long now,
Coping as best I can,
But its not so long I have forgotten,
The touch of a caring hand,
I look in house windows at Christmas,
At cats dozing in comfortable chairs,
I would welcome a box in the kitchen,
With some tasty food for me to eat,
I did have Christmas once,
There was tinsel and giftwrap,
But the fun did,nt last long,
They went on holidays and dumped me,
I don,t know what I did wrong,
I really don,t want to be greedy,
But at the moment I am all skin and bone,
Would it be too much to hope for,
That someone will give me a home?

Were all these cats dumped? I really don't understand how people can do that. A cat isn't an object that you throw away . It's an animal with true FEELINGS! People who do such horrible things don't deserve them. I hope all these adorable animals found loving and caring people whith whom they can live and be loved by until they are old and ready to go over the rainbowbridge.

Lucky are the cats that find the way to your cat-haven and know they no longer are uncared for in this cold world of ours. We have been doing the same and no cat should be left to fend for itself. They are wonderful, grateful and more loyal than humans.

I had a wonderful morning today, a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a visit to the catery and see all my little friends ... it brings a big smile in my heart to see your kindness and all those wonderful little fur balls ... They are all so beautiful, but most of all, your kindness and love for them is amazing and inspirational.

hi there over here in queensland australia its so hard to get a place to rent these dayz as the owners wont let us rent as we have cats so alot of people hae to get rid of them i just love cats if i could i would do what you do save as many cats as i could i just love em to death congratulatulations you are just an awesome lady good luck and your kittys are very lucky to have you hugs jennifer

You are so kind to rescue those cats....those little guys are really good just want to remind one thing, try to find sponsor to have neutralization (desex) operation for them....all the thing then become perfect

God bless you for what you are doing...I just love your Cat gallery! The poem is really touching. We are lucky to live on a 160 acres land that is not to far from our town and we do have plenty of cats that live free in our old hay house. We feed them every day. They come and go as they please. They are God creatures and I feel that it is our responsibility to help them live a good life...Thank you for sharing this wonderful gallery with us.

I have to tell you thank you for what you are doing. I LOVE cats and have had at least one ... sometimes as many as nine at a time. I had to put my 22-year-old cat down just before the Holidays as she could no longer eat or drink. We found a tiny kitten along the side of a busy road. She still had "blue" eyes. She is now fat and sassy, living here with two other cats and a dog. They all have my husband and I wrapped around their paws, They are loved and they know it. It is just a joy to have an animal show love like cats do. The sound of them purring brightens my day. If there is ever a time when you need contributions (and I can afford to) please just e-mail me. looks like our cat colony. 2 rescud from shelters (see cat humor gallery) and 2 ferals that have just been moved into the house... I don't know how you handle the cost. SHo, neuter, worming, etc, cost me $700 just for the 2 ferals cats that got added to the fold. I'd love to turn our garage into a true "cattery" for them. Maybe this winters project as soo as we get Christmas over with. Hats off to you for taking care of so many. Too many are left to simply fend for themselfs (see feral colony gallery).

Great big voye, big time. This little gallery really stole my heart.... a big snuggle to all of them. I'd also love to see your beautiful place, palms etc.... I read a comment somewhere recently, saying that when we die and that we get to the Big Pearly Gate Upstairs... all the ainmals we've known in our lifetime will be at the gate there, waiting for us. They're the ones who will decide if we go in or not ! By the sound of it, you've got nothing to worry about my friend. God bless yuo forever for taking care of his little creatures.
