I've created this gallery for a couple of reasons. Firstly, as most photographers do, I apply post-processing in varying degrees of severity to most of my photos. Some images are straightforward RAW conversions with minimal PP; others have been subjected to more drastic PP. I thought then, that I'd gather all of the latter in one place. All my tone-mapped photos already have a home and will remain in their own galleries.

Secondly, some of my favourite photographers on Pbase use quite dark and broody processing (such as the Orton technique) on their images, and in homage to them (greenbunion: https://pbase.com/greenbunion and Steve Sharp: https://pbase.com/steve_sharp amongst others) I've been begun to experiment in this form of photography.
