Air & Space

Tintern Abbey, Monmouthshire view map

Looking to the east transept and up the soaring heights of the crossing. The lack of a roof seems to only emphasise how magnificent this 12th century Cistercian abbey would have been until it was dissolved in the mid-1500s. See: http://cistercians.shef.ac.uk/abbeys/tintern.php. for more info.

Brings a whole new meaning to flying buttresses Doug!! Super wide shot, it really communicates a strong feeling of airiness.....as your title aptly states. ;)
