Autumn Triptych

various locations in the Cotswolds

The local churches are getting ready for their harvest festival services - my eye was caught by these simple but very effective porch window displays, made all the more beautiful by the sunny weather. The left and right are at St. Peter's, Duntisbourne Abbots, the middle is Holy Trinity, Slad

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Definitely Doug, we both have to thank whoever laid on these little gourd-arrangements that make such perfect still-life subject matter. I also love the triptych take on it (actually, I like triptychs generally, thinking about it!)

I spent quite a long time looking at your recent images for my favorite. This was it. I love the composition and lighting in the central panel and the two side panels support it so well. Everything about it works for me. It is simple and magnificent.
