WELCOME TO BIOMASS PHOTOGRAPHY.
I'm a hobbyist photographer who shoots and prints in spurts and ebbs. I most shoot natural landscapes with an eye for trees, rocks and water. Very elemental. I enjoy juxtaposing different scales in my series. Nature is multidimensional, and can be appreciated from afar and upclose. Shape and contrast play a big role in my photographs, as well as pattern and light. I think I've covered about every major element of photography in that description.
My inspirations are Robert Adams

and Ray Metzker

I've just started grad school and it's taking a back burner position currently. I encourage you to visit my photo website and make a comment!
I SHOOT PRIMARILY WITH A BRONICA SQ-A MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERA WITH ILFORD FILM (FP4 PLUS, Delta 100 and Pan-F Plus) AND FUJI VELVIA SLIDE FILM. I ALSO USE A NIKON N80 FOR 35MM WORK AND WILL HOEPFULLY SOON HAVE SOME HOLGA SHOTS UP HERE (JUST GOT ONE). I SCAN MY NEGATIVES WITH AN EPSON PERFECTION 4490, WHICH DOES A GREAT JOB FOR WEB WORK.
PRINTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR MOST PHOTOS, PLEASE EMAIL ME AT JSHOLTES (AT) GMAIL.COM FOR INQUIRIES. I HOPE YOU ENJOY MY GALLERIES.
