This small gallery is the result of a short hike at the Celery Farm Natural Area in Allendale, N.J., on a cold, gray December day. There was little bird activity, except for a flotilla of American Coots in a small area of open water. So I captured a few images of them as well as at least one bit of alien "wildlife" as you will see. I made a return visit the following day, which was a little sunnier, but a little colder. It was a short visit.
