Our Friend Simon Teaching

Bad picture, but Simon is teaching mechanics (of an engine) as they are commodities on their more modern fishing boats (Junior High Age)

My dear friend Anton Amariach (recently deceased) told me many times that all the educational process needs is an educated, experienced adult, a thatched roofed ut and some kids! He was right. My Micronesian students are a part of my life and my world- and I am a part of theirs...in fact, they are a part of me and I am a part of them...to be just a little stronger about it!

Dear Ms.Mariolu and Maraw, ifa usum? Thank you very much for your offer of help, please excuse my late reply. Yes, I have been a visitor on Puluwat Island. I stayed at Moses Nelson's house. I've loved the islands and the people so much, they have always been so kind and helpful to me. And Puluwat is so unbelievably beautiful, especially one place on Elet made me believe being in paradise. I have visited other Western Islands too like Pulap, Pulusuk, Tamatam and Ulul. What a wonderful world! Please excuse my English, it is a foreign language for me like Trukeese. This is my email address: super35@freenet.de . Warmest regards from Duis, Willie Schmitz, Steensberg 40, 26683 Saterland, Germany

AS YOU CAN SEE FOR YOUR SELF, EDUCATION IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW YOU ARE DISHING IT OUT, IN A PROPER BUILDING OR IN THE FOREST. IT CAN BE DONE. WE ARE TRYING TO LET OUR YOUNG GENERATION KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS. DO NOT BE DISCOUGARE , JUST TO WHAT YOU CAN. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BRO.

re-lukuni .we counted only the stars that our destination located under ,same with the clouds we follow if we see that the island is there..so we didnt counds billions stars and clouds..but we know more than billions if that what you wanted to know ,,
re-lukini 12-Jun-2007 16:44
resepan, how do polowat navigators sail!!!!!!! you said they're counting the stars while sailing at night and follow the clouds during the day???? So howmany stars the Polowatese counted so far. trillion?? maybe more... wow!!!! amazing.!!!!
Guest 22-Apr-2007 02:09
THERE ARE A LOT OF NEEDS FOR OUR BELOVED ISLAND AND ITS PEOPLE, BUT CAN I DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? WHAT'S THE USE OF ME SAYING IT WHEN I DON'T DO SOMETHING? IT IS USELESS UNLESS I OFFER MYSELF TO THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. THE QUESTION ONE CAN ASK HERE IS: HOW AND IN WHAT WAY CAN I HELP? THINK ABOUT IT.

Hi, is this teacher Simeon Choffat from Puluwat? Then he's an old friend of mine.
And who knows the prinicipal Tino Emwalu? He's a very good friend as well.
Have been a teacher on Puluwat too, but just for two days.
