This part of central Spain is very rural and unspoiled, village streets are very narrow, you can see shepherds and goat herds, we even saw a lady milking a cow in what appeared to be her house! The locals don't speak English but enjoy talking to visitors since there are so few of them. The wild flowers are wonderful and the mountain scenery is gorgeous. Definitely different than the Costas! Lovely olive groves and vineyards. Let's hope it stays this way.
