Silicon Valley Celebrates Commonwealth Club Centennial

San Jose's Museum of Art is the scene for the South Bay's celebration of the Commonwealth Club Centennial. Luminaries from the High Tech world joined with University Presidents and Newspaper Executives to liven the evening with thoughtful reflection on the past 100 years and the prospects for the next 100 years. These are the first few images from the May 7, 2003, event.
Club CEO Gloria Duffy makes a few introductory remarks, and displays a picture of herself with former San Jose Mayor, Susan Hammer. Club President Joe Fink followed her to the podium, but spoke so briefly there was no time for a picture. Luckily, we have him in dozens of other shots in previous events.
