Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist David Hume Kennerly signs copies of his new book "Photo Du Jour" in San Francisco.
Kennerly became official White House photographer to Gerald R. Ford at age 27, and he has since amassed more than 50 Time and Newsweek covers to his credit.
He has recently started using a Canon 1D digital camera in his photojournalism work, after years of using film. But for his new all-B&W book he used only one film camera (Mamiya 7) and one lens (43mm) for every picture taken each day in the momentous year 2000.
