Queen Noor of Jordan, widow of King Hussein, who died of cancer shortly after attempting to cement the ill-fated Y River peace accords in 1999. Queen Noor is a Princeton-educated American by birth, but has become a symbol of her adopted country, and a truly articulate and effective ambassador of peace and understanding across all cultures and religions.
