Dear Bill, Great work!
I would love a print of Sandhill Cranes Silhouette Landing for my livingroom. I am a professional photographer too and also, a birdwatcher. Is this possible? What size could I get it in and how much would you charge? I only want it for display and not for reproduction. Sincerely, Will Kincaid. Bismarck, ND.

Bill,
I was wondering how I could obtain permission to use your photograph of the Gooseneck canyon for a web site? Your photographs are amazing. Thank you.
Kris A Wright 06-Jan-2009 10:17
Hello Bill,

If I wanted to obtain permission to use one of your photos of Mayor Gavin Newsome for a documentary, how can I do that? I'll pay you if you require a fee. Please contact me at killdevilhill28@yahoo.com
Thanks

Hi Bill,

As always, your photos are spectacular! It was fun to see how much Dylan has grown. Reassure Julie that Diane will give her a call back sometime soon...

Comrade Bill,

I just got sent the link to your pictures of the Commonwealth Club Russia trip. The photos brought back so many fond fond memories. I couldn't imagine a more congenial group of fellow travelers nor could I imagine a more fascinating journey. Many things stick in my mind, but, one particulary poingant moment was in Yaroslavl when the guide Olga bid us farewell at a garden with miniature Russia village buildings which served as bee hives. She said: "I hope you will come back to Yaroslavl next year to taste the best honey in all of Russia. But, in Russia, we never know what the next year will bring." Wonderful photos! Cheers. Hello Bill,
You had a nice "Fleet Week" photo gallery. I was there taking photo too. It is not an easy event to photograph at all. But, you did a great job though. Thanks for sharing your pictures.
Cheers!!

Thanks for the great compliment. The Russia gallery has been fun to put together, despite the difficulty to get good shots in dark museums.

Thanks, Bill, for some absolutely stunning photography. I especially enjoyed the Russian segment. Given the circumstances and restrictions, these are fabulous!

Hi G.:
I do not use the 2x TC with any lens due to the loss of detail that accompanies the magnification. My maximum is 1.7x using the new Nikkor TC. Even still I prefer the 1.4x TC. With that one, you lose very little sharpness. Nevertheless, my favorite rig is with the 200-400mm lens unadorned by a TC. Even though you may pull it out for the 400mm range, don't forget to use it at 200mm where it is fantastically sharp, noticeably sharper than the much heralded 70-200 at 200mm. Bill

Hi Bill-

I really like your pictures. It would be nice to see more of you and your family. Thanks for showing me these.

Bill, Liked your images - especially the Puffins. Have just come back from standing underneath a 770,000 pair nest site of the coast of Scotland. Am seriously considering upgrading from my current 5700 to a D100 (it will take the lens from my trusty F3) - are there any problems or issues witht he the D100 I should be aware of? TIA for any help.
Dave

I would like permission to take your tiger photo and make a 1027 x 768 wallpaper of it and offer it on my site www.fcph.us (which is down at the moment), FrontPage 98 extensions are no longer supported. I have down this before with other artists and photographers. Some give me permission to make the wallpapers for my own use, some say no, and others allow me to offer them at my site. Right now if the site were up and running there are approximately 500 wallpapers we offer. We are not a wallpaper site, but we do offer it to our visitors to download. Thanks in advance, however you decide.

You wrote "In three seconds an Indy race car will travel 1/3 of a mile"

Wow is that fast! I've taken a lot of photos at Indy 500 in the '80s and never saw cars doing 9 secs/mile (not in the 21st century wither since 220 mph equates to just over 16 seconds/mile). So in 3 seconds a fast Indy car will travel 970 feet.

I appreciate your D100 knowledge Bill. Keep it up! I want a D100 soon.

Hi Bill,
Thanks so much for visiting my albums and for your nice comment about the Walker-Salem church. The church you asked me about is close to Salem, Michigan. It was very close to where I grew up and yesterday was the first time I had a chance to get pictures of the inside after taking pictures of the outside for about 20 years.

You have some fantastic albums yourself. I enjoyed looking at your pictures very much and have added you to my favor artists.

Thanks again
Char

Great stuff, your D100 pictures are the best I've seen from this camera! Someday perhaps I can do as well. Check out my D100 photos if you'd like; would appreciate any feedback about how I can improve. -swami
