The Shadow Runner photo was taken on the first day of spring, 21 March 2007, as I was setting watching the sun forming shadows on our walls. I am an old runner with a few trophies and some of those trophies were setting in the western bay window, for lack of space in the trophy cases. As the sun lowered on the western horizon, coming through several large spruce and sugar maple trees, it struck continuously changing trophies' shadows on a blank off-white wall. I snapped several photographs and decided to call this one The Shadow Runner. Note: Over to the left and slightly lower from the main shadow is the Shadow Runner's shadow. How did that happen?
