After our stroll on The Strip on July 3, 2013, the shuttle van took us back to The Priory, our hotel,
and we picked up our car to begin our journey out of Pittsburgh.
However, when we visited the Cathedral of Learning on Pitt's campus, the woman who gave us our unofficial tour mentioned the "paper streets" on the Southside.
She explained that "paper streets" are streets which appear only on paper maps since they sometimes are not streets but just steps leading you up and down the steep slopes of the Southside.
Well, this type of thing is right up our alley, so my wife and I had to find these "paper streets".
It took some digging and asking around; not everyone knew of their existence.
We learned some directions and drove UP the Southside on our way out of Pittsburgh.
My wife read and learned of the St. Paul of the Cross Monastery on the Southside, so this was our first stop.

After visiting the St. Paul of the Cross church and grounds on July 3, 2013, we drove around the Southside Slopes streets.
Wow! Can you imagine driving a stick shift on these hills!
