 on the Lake Titicaca |
This is the town of Copacabana |
which is a small village |
it is not very impressive but I liked the church |
and as always, the children |
there was a festival and the ladies were dancing |
with a boy watching nearby |
 and the men joining |
these were members of a band that was playing |
from the shore, one could watch the sunset |
 which was really amazing |
 with all the boats |
 it looked very romantic |
this was a painting in a restaurant |
the next day, we took a boat |
to get from Copacabana to the Sun Island |
 leaving the mainland behind |
the water was very clear |
and the sky soooo blue... |
she was travelling with her Mami on the boat |
and our boat when we arrived on the island |
a farmer passing by with donkeys |
and a lady infront of a painting |
this town was in the north of the island |
where one can hike for 3 hours to the south |
 passing pine forests |
and beautiful views on snow mountains |
 and some farmers pig |
 a long long walk |
with a place to stop and refresh |
 while donkeys are watching |
I stayed overnight in this hostel |
 which had great views |
 and a nice restaurant |
 with fantastic views |
 overlooking the lake |
and some chairs next to the rooms |
a farmer taking his alpaca for a walk |
the hotel had some nice cactus |
which was blooming as well |
view down to the coast |
the next day, I went to catch a boat |
from the south of the island |
 going back to Copacabana |
and then with a small bus |
 Jesus is with us... |
 leaving Copacabana |
and driving 3 1/2 hours to La Paz |
 leaving Lake Titicaca behind |
have a look at this amazing transport !!! |
 Here some Panorama Impressions |
 of the Sun Island |
 also known in Spanish |
as the Isla del Sol |
with a nice hiking trail |
