Humayun's Tomb

The tomb was built by Humayun's widow Bega Begam in 1565. It is the first example of the Mughal architecture, with high arches and double dome, which occurs here for the first time in India.The style would culminate in India in the Taj Mahal, built by Humayan's great-grandson, Shah Jehan.
