Music and Textures

Music and Textures

This is from a blank canvas, starting with a fill on the canvas of warm-grey-range gradient. I changed the colors to a teal blue and started painting shapes with the Art Pen Brush, Worn Oil Pastel. Added textures as I went.

This is a tribute to my sister, Nita Mata, Painter artist and classical pianist extraordinaire, who has always painted pictures with her music, and who now paints musically. Congrats on being Painter Talk's Artist of the Month, Nita!

You two bring tears to my eyes. This painting is beautiful as the bond you have between you.

I am so touched by this, Barb.....by your gorgeous painting (as always) but especially by your wonderful sisterly words. You are just as much a "one of a kind" as this lovely piece. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear, dear sister!!!

Beautiful, Barb! I am very tired tonight after a very busy holiday but could not keep from taking a moment to tell you how beautiful and moving this is. A very wonderful tribute to your sister.
