Common Checkered-Skipper Larva

Pyrgus communis larva on mallow. The larvae make nests by webbing leaves together. This particular leaf had 4 larvae in various instars. This larva is about a half inch long and appears to be close to pupation.

Hello,

My name is Jon Hakim. I'm a former science teacher and amateur herpetologist who is working on a nature conservation/education project for my local county, which includes a wildlife ID page. You can see the site here:

https://wildcolumbia.org

I am interested in using one of your pictures of a Common Checkered-Skipper caterpillar for the butterfly ID page I am building. I wanted to check and get your permission before I used it. It's been difficult to find pictures of these online.

I don't earn any profit from the site, and never will. I will include your name and a link to your site with the photo.

Thanks for the help if you can!

Jon Hakim
