Rachel, thanks for your kind words. If you found the eggs on Parsley, I can assure you that they are Black Swallowtail caterpillars! I share the gallery with students, so I'm glad to hear your boys enjoyed the site.

I am so very excited!! I found many swallowtail caterpillars, eggs and larva on four of my parsley plants in my garden, also on my dill n fennel. I live in st Pete Florida and from doing some research online it looks as if they might be black swallowtails! I found your pictures the most interesting and captivating during my research but I still have yet to find a site that shows all the swallowtail species in all stages of life so I can compare my caterpillars and find out wich type of swallowtail I have. However I wanted to tell u, ur pictures are amazing!!! I sat my boys down n we went thru each one. They were very excited! We really enjoyed your site!!! Thanx, Rachel .
