I spoke to several people om my travels and they are such a friendly and knowlegable bunch, shame the council tries to spoil it for them, one old boy told me they had just had their rents increased 4 fold....its so unfair as most of them are OAP's and have'nt got a lot of free cash, and they spend most of their days on their allotments enjoying growing their wonderful produce.
the next step will be selling the land to a developer and moving the allotment site to a place where the earth is barren and the wind blows... as happened here. Capture this wonderful lifestyle while you can!
