15th Monday, flew from Knoxville to Orlando, rented a car and drove to Ft Pierce. Went shopping at Wal-Mart (I ask for a discount but didn't get one). over 300$ later I go to to the hotel and organize my stuff in rubbermaid containers and add ice to the ice chest (for the meat).

16th Tuesday, at the MFI hanger before 6am, luggage weight in 257 lbs @ $1.50 per lb. then I had to weight in and I cost over $2.00 per lb.
at first was told I could only take 50 lbs with me today and the other was to come tomorrow, so of course I choose the ice chest with the meat, but then in the end all of my supplies got to go on the first plane (as you see on the pallets, 1 pallet for things that had to go today and the other pallet for tomorrow).
I went on the 2nd plane a few hours later.
we flew really far inland where the mountains were higher than we were, very bumpy ride then came into PAP, when we landed I told the pilot that I had never been that far inland on a plane before and he said they fly below the radar then pop up on it from inland to land because it take a long time to get clearance to land if you come the way all the other plans do, I think he must have done this before. (I took lots of pictures, but through the plane window they are not that great).
when I arrived at the airport, Bill and Martha already had my stuff loaded up, had to wait on a customs agent to stamp my passport then we did a drive through town before going back to the house.
When we got at the house, Bill set up my tent (pics tomorrow) home see home for a few days.

17th, 2 pictures of our tents
then around lunch time I did a walk part of the campus where some of the wall was being built back
lots of work going on.

18th, it rained last night, clear view out over the hills. pic's of building the supports for the walls around campus, kids camp on the campus, bags of rice.

19th, only took one pic of the FedEx truck

20th, Bill and I went out to Tabarre Church to see their Children's Camp

21st, we had a great service this morning at BelAir Church in Port-au-Prince. (pics not that great, very blurry) a few pics of the clinic that is being held there every day by the Heart to Heart team.
back home for lunch
walk around campus, up the hill to see where a new part of the wall was being built, people living under a tarp on the basketball court, blurry picture of bamboo, Martha trying to turn the generator off (city power came on), the dark pictures are of the owl's that live on campus (3 of them total that we know of).

23rd, took some pictures of Martha walking to work and several pictures down at the airport loading a truck with supplies, then back on campus unloading

24th pictures of Lyese before we left to go home

arrived at the PAP airport 2 hrs early, get your name checked off a list outside then walk inside luggage gets scanned just inside the door (new part that is just for AA). Go to ticket counter and get boarding and check in checked luggage (easy so far), go through customs and carry on gets scanned. Go up the escalator to the waiting area (no food court, just a free water jug with the snow cone paper cups) and before you can go into the waiting are you get your carry on items scanned AGAIN. (the bathroom's are nice there). there is a jet bridge to get on the plane.
no delays at all
we arrived in Miami and waited 5 hrs for our next flight to Knoxville
30 mins before the flight announcement, the flight has been cancelled (after the 4 & 1/2 hr wait)
we go to the ticket counter and get on a flight to Atlanta (and have to wait 2 more hrs for that)
David and Tiffany are on their way from Chattanoog to Knoxville to pick us up, he is in Athens. We call him and tell him about the flight changes, so now he drives back to Chattanooga and then on to Atlanta to pick us up (his pick up was a surprise to Martha, she thought we were getting a rental car). Finally made it home around 4:30 am and Bill had to be at work in just a few hours.
it's life wonderful.
