To celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, we took a trip out to the Las Vegas area for a long weekend. Highlights included: staying in the pyramid at Luxor, lounging by the pool sipping frosty drinks, a spa treatment for Beth, checking out the wacky overdone casinos, and a day trip (we rented a car) out to the desert to check out Valley of Fire, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. On our last night, we enjoyed a night out on the town- checking out the old skool topless Vegas showgirl revue, "Folies Bergere" at the Tropicana and staying out to the wee hours dancing in the dance club in our hotel (too big to be a mere hotel, I believe the correct term is "resort"), named appropriate to the Egyptian theme, "Ra".
