As a promotion for "The Simpsons Movie", 13 7-11 stores (12 in the US and 1 in Canada) were temporarily transformed into a Quick E Mart. We only saw a plastic cut out of Apu there, but there was a guy behind the counter, in a Quick E Mart shirt, with the name "Soo Mee" on the nametag.
The one I went to was in Bladenburg, MD, just outside of DC.
