Jao Tsung-I Academy is a center that promotes Chinese culture and facilitates cultural exchange located on a hillside of Lai Chi Kok, a neighborhood in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. The academy sits on a historic compound which was the former site of the former Lai Chi Kok Hospital.

Prior to being used as a medical facility, the compound had been a seaside customs station at the end of the 19th century. In early 20th century, a British company built living quarters for Chinese laborers on the site. Subsequently, the compound served as a quarantine station, a prison, an infectious disease hospital and a psychiatric rehabilitation center.

The academy is named after Chinese scholar, poet, calligrapher and painter, Jao Tsung-I. Today, it serves as an exhibition venue and cultural hub offering various facilities in a lush landscaped environment. The compound is divided into the Low, Middle and High Zones, each area offering different points of interests and facilities.

The old buildings where restored and used for various functions, providing a historical review of the site and an overview of the conservation and revitalization works.
