Dr. Sir: I am the daughter of Col.Charles H. Sargent, Jr., CO of the 455th AAA Batallion, and an in possession of the real tail wheel that belongs to the original plane. I talked with Mr. Griggs just before he passed away to obtain verifying information from him. James Chandler, the 455th Historian, and I did research to see if this was the actual wheel. I do have all the serial numbers from it and can sent them to you. I wonder if you would like this ORIGINAL?? Please contact me so that we can exchange the information you will need, etc. Viewing all this reconstruction has been most enlightening for us since my "wheel" has been the subject of many 455th annual reunion conversations.
