Canon S2 IS photos

If this had been my first ultrazoom camera I would almost certainly be over the moon with it,
but it wasn't - I had two Olympus models first - the C-700 and C-750 - and although they're
not quite as technically advanced as the S2, they're somehow easier and more enjoyable to use.
Maybe more experience with it will make me like it as much as I do my little Canon A510 - if
not quite as much as my current favourite - a black "ordinary-3x-zoom" Olympus C-5050Z.

UPDATE: I'm now quite sure that the S2 and I have no long term future together. As a
replacement I have been evaluating a Kodak P850, which is so far as enjoyable to use as
the S2 is irritating, except that the P850 does not take AA batteries but a Kodak Li-ion.
I have since realised that the Kodak's battery is a definite advantage inasmuch as it
helps to keep the camera fairly light. I have added the 850's Big Brother, the P880,
with the wide-angle zoom lens to the mix and now the Canon S2 IS is up for sale -
see the first photograph in this Gallery. In fairness, the S2 is a camera that deserves
much more concentration and practice by its user than I have found time to spend with
it, distracted as I am by other digital cameras that are very different in operation.

thank you for the wonderful memory of the candle shop my mother and father in law were farmers at the farm. and i have lovely memories of the old house. so nice to see it being preserved.

Nice Pictures! I viewed your A510 gallery, and these pictures are sharper and better exposed in my opinion. I really like your S2 IS pics. I may have to buy one!
