Walsall Trolleybus

I thought I had taken many more photos of Walsall's
trolleybuses but this is all that's turned up to date

It's a hybrid vehicle with the power supply of an
electric tram and the wheels of an omnibus without
the need for rails. It still can't deviate from its
wired route but it can pull into the kerb to stop

other sizes: small medium large

I was a driver on Walsall trolley buses I always enjoyed driving them in service, but had to keep your speed down at some places. Lower Farm was one in question, going round the island to fast. What fun.I am now 77 and live in Tamworth.

i used to ride this actual trolleybus. the number 33 went to the Beechdale estate, Cavendish Road. The big building on the right is the ABC Savoy.

I rode on one of those trolley buses once. It was not a comfortable ride -- very poor suspension.
