I believe that the side street is Hunters Road, and at the right of the picture is the junction with Hampstead Road. If so, I remember this well. I used to go to church and Sunday School at Hampstead Road Baptist Church around the corner. Afterwards I would go to the shop with the Evening Mail sign and buy a quarter (4 oz.) of Wine Gums or some other sweets. This would be the only shop open on a Sunday.
