These are images from our holiday in Egypt in May 2007. We spent the first week on a cruise ship on the River Nile sailing from Luxor to Aswan and back to Luxor. The second week was spent in the Jollie Ville Movenpick island resort just to the south of Luxor. It was a fabulous two week holiday, but very hot!

:: Macro and close-up ::
These are my early attempts at macro and close-up photography. Most are taken with a 50mm f1.8 OM Zuiko fitted with a combination of manual extension tubes and the on-board flash of the E-500
:: Canada ::
In May 2005 we visited Canada. We started off with a few days in and around Toronto. We then spent about three days on 'The Canadian' train travelling across Canada to Jasper. After spending some time in the Rockies we moved on to Vancouver and the surrounding area. It was a wonderful holiday!
:: Cardiff Bay, Wales 15 September ::
All pictures taken on a day out in Cardiff Bay. Camera used was an Olympus E-500 with an old 50mm f1.8 'standard' OM manual focus lens. The lens cost about £7 from Ebay. None the pictures were taken with a polariser and the blue sky is natural.
I am quite pleased with the lens performance although focussing isn't always spot on!

A selection of photographs taken in New York City at the end of December 2007 and New Year's Day 2008. This was my first visit and my wife, daughter and I enjoyed the time we spent there immensely!
