Gone To Michigan

The week after Hurricane Katrina/Rita I sold my house to a friend and fellow member of the Pontchartrain Astronomical Society. His family and business needed a base of operations while they rebuilt in New Orleans and I felt compelled to move to Michigan to be near my elderly parents. Now I know why I couldn’t get my folks to move back to Baton Rouge…Moving, post middle age, is very difficult…after 75...forget it!

Any way here are some photos from Michigan for my friends down south.
My folks live on Long Lake, just to the west of Traverse City, Michigan. This photo was taken a few days before the snow storm.

I am about one hundred yards out on the lake and looking south east. Nice spot to set up a telescope!
