This is the closest of the three rear view mirror images to reality -- we are riveted to the scene by the eyes, the catchlights making them come alive and alert, sparkling with energy. Yet it too is abstracted by the limits of the mirror, and the nose terrifyingly turns into a black beak, making the woman into a bird like apparition. i know I am getting carried away by this one, Nancy, but while the second image my be most expressive in terms of the depth of its ideas, this one is the most incongruous of the three -- the beautiful eyes contrasting to the birdlike beak.
