The Johnson Creek Fire& EMS was called to the I-94 westbound rest area for a call of a reported coach bus on fire. All the passengers had evacuated, according to the Jefferson dispatcher. Upon arrival, a compartment of the lower segment of the bus was in flames. It was promptly extinguished. The coach is owned and operated by Lazer's Bus out of Marshall. Weather was cold, windy and raining requiring that passengers take refuge in the rest area pavilion. The department dispatched with Engine 22, Ambulance 703 and Tanker/Tender 26.
