Thanks for the pictures that you have posted. I was in the Palaus in 1984 as a SeaBee. Each month our Team would go down to Peleliu to cut grass and clean up around the monuments. We were also there for the 40th anaversary of the landings and able to meet some Marine Vet's. Peleliu was an experience that I will never forget.

Thank you for your photos, especially the Amphibious Tank wreck and caves. The USMC must have had a tough time battling the hardened Imperial Japanese Army and the awesome terrain. I would love to travel to Peleliu and see it in person.

Thank you for these excellent pictures. I hope those who died here found a better world, although the beauty of the island is as nice as it gets in this world.

Thank you for this memory of Peleliu Island. My brother was a medic during World War II and spent many weeks in a fox hole there. He was Cpl. Edgar E Woods. He came home a very sick man with ulcers and had to have a couple of operations and died during the second one.
