I have a close friend who is an archaeologist in Palau. I spent almost a month there this summer and had a fantastic time. I did the usual things, like scuba diving and snorkeling, and was amazed at the beauty of the marine environment. I also got off the beaten track, explored the island of Peleliu, and saw a lot of Babeldoab. While I was there Palau was host to the Festival of Pacific Arts, which brought many nations of Oceania together for 10 days of festival. I witnessed a lot of friendship between these island peoples, and was fortunate to see many traditional arts, dance and goods. Yes the food was also good! Especially if seafood is to your liking. I hope to get back there someday, before my friend moves on from Palau. Thanks for writing.

Hello Paul,
Our daughter just sent my husband and I your pictures from Palau and they brought back such beautiful memories.
My husband is a geologist and he had a project there. Our son, daughter and myself were fortunate enought to spend a month with him while he was there. We fell in love with the people, food and the Rock Islands.
