One baguette had already been stolen by a small bird & dropped summarily on the ground.
So I picked up the bread, broke into little pieces & started feeding the bird.
Presently, pigeons showed up to share in the feast.
When one pigeon flew in my face (apparently I wasn't breaking the pieces up quickly enough) I threw it upon the ground.
