Now serving as a C & O Canal Visitor Center, it's believed the building dates back to 1800.
It dealt with grain and fertilizer but its main business was selling the coal brought down from Cumberland.
Williamsport is one of the few places where the canal is still filled. There is talk of possibly having mules pull canal boats here in the future.
