Legendary Sam Phillips opened his recording business in this brick building in 1950 with B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Roy Orbison being some of the great singers to record here.
It was designated a NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK in 2003.
