Peg Price Thank You! We moved from Clarkdale to Tucson in 1945 when my father signed on to the Southern Pacific Railroad. I was two. As I am getting older and nostalgic I have been trying to find places I remember from my childhood. I attended this school from the kindergarden through the forth when we moved in 1952 to Phoenix. At naptime we spread our towels out on the tiles pictured here for our afternoon naps. Without refrigeration it could get real hot and those tiles were always cool. On the side of the school there was a big dirt lot with covered picnic tables where we had our Brownie meetings. I remember the great bonfires we had in that lot after Christmas when everyone would bring there X-mas trees to burn.

I went to University Heights School in 1965-66 with my brother who is now in Boston. We are Sudanese and I am in Sudan now but it feels good to see photos of the school, unfortunately I didnt stay long enough in Tucson to graduate from the school so I couldnt join its alumini.

I used to me the mantience assistant here. ask me how many times I fixed those gate doors. I also painted all the ironwork scrolling. Pain is all I can say. I wonder if Karen is still working there.Shes the Manager.I'm sure you meet her. Fantastic pic.
