Blenman House

204 S. Scott Ave.

Currently home to the Royal Elizabeth Bed and Breakfast and on the market for $1.1 million, this structure was built in 1878.
Believed to be Tucson's first Victorian house, it was built for Charles Drake. After Drake returned to California, the house was sold to Englishman Charles Blenman who practiced law in town.
The house has 2 foot adobe walls and even has a hiding place that was used to take refuge in case of an Apache attack.
Listed on NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES

Thanks for pointing out the date errors, Robin. I'll do some checking and repost what I find.
If you know what is the correct time frame, please feel free to post for all of us to see!

I was wondering if the dates on this photo are correct. The house was built in 1878, but Blenman purchased it in 1873? You mean he purchased the property where the house was going to be, then had it built?
