This was Agua Yaku's second visit to Villa Hermosa on the ? river near San Lorenzo de Moxos in Beni, Bolivia. As you can see from the photos we flew the Brazos Pointe Fellowship team into San Lorenzo in two small planes (it would have been 14 hours overland from Santa Cruz). Carlos and Fernando drove the drilling equipment in a day earlier. We loaded up in a large dug-out canoe--13 people and all of our camping gear and drilling equipment. It was a seven our ride up river to Villa Hermosa. It was too dark to finish the trip the first day, so we camped at our boat pilot's farm and finished the trip to Villa Hermosa early the next morning. We had a great time working in the community and drilling a water well. The well was a great success. We drilled 30 meters, and installed the filter, casing and hand pump in less than two days. We even had time to go fishing further upriver before returning to San Lorenzo. I will apologize now for so many pictures of wildlife. The river trip was amazing. We saw an amazing number of caimans, birds, river dolphins, capybaras, and turtles.
