Hiroshima Remembered

Halifax Waterfront

Today marks the 60th anniversary of the Hiroshima nuclear bombing. Snapped this on the Halifax waterfront late in the evening. The busker festival is in full swing and I was surrounded by hundreds of people. Almost no one was noticing the symbolic silhouettes painted on the pavement. Made me sad.

Excellent. The upper left corner looks like the base of a mushroom cloud.

I don't know if anyone has ever seen the movie "Night of the Comet". But this sure reminds me of the scene where the people were incinerated by it's aftermath. Nice job for the tribute Denis, I like the contrast between the road and white dust
