Hmm, may be simple to you, but it's a mystery to me! What is the filling, sweet or savory? Enquiring minds want to know....

Looks very interesting, does it have a fruit centre? Terrific photo!

I'm with the others, but presume it's a relative of the Eccles Cake? Whatever it is, it looks good to me (nice to see you're not shy with the butter!!)

I don't know what Chorley Cake is either. But the composition is strong.

OK... now I think you need to tell us a little more about this. What's in the middle?

I'll join in with the gang... what is a chorley cake. I looks good. Like the simple shot, plain plate and stark light.

What the heck is a chorley cake??? Looks okay but not sure exactly what it is. Hope you get to eat more than that!

Not sure what a Chorley Cake is Bernard. Obviously a local Lancs delicacy.
Does it have the same filling as it's famous cousin the eccles cake?
I have found a local bakery here in Dunedin, that does a mean eccles. Might suggest they try a Chorley.

I do not remember this either. What is it all about? Nice use of composition rule ZX-111-B-091, repetition. ( I made the number up):)

Don't remember this from my time in the U.K. Nice shot though and it looks like you've got good teeth. :)
