The Healing Fields took place in Broomfield, CO this year during the week of September 11th, 2005. It is an event that pays tribute to and honors the men and women that have died in order to ensure the freedom that we all so dearly love. During the event, an American flag is placed for each American service member that has died during the War on Terror that America has waged since the September 11th attacks in 2001. In addition, there is a respective country flag for each person that died on September 11th, 2001 during the terrorist attacks. It was a very moving sight to see that many American flags waving in the wind, each representing a hero that fell defending something that is by no means free; our freedom. Let these pictures serve as a reminder to us all to never take it for granted.
